EPITA participating in the EHEF Nepal 2016 in Kathmandu

In cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Government of Nepal, the Delegation of the European Union to Nepal, and EU Member States (Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia and the United Kingdom), the EHEF project organized a Roadshow under the title of “Higher Education Cooperation between the European Union and Nepal“, on 25th-26th October 2016 at the Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole Height, Lalitpur, Nepal.

Tuesday 25th October took the form of a Mini-Exhibition, where students could meet representatives from the European Union delegation, the agencies Campus France, DAAD, Study in the Czech Republic and the British Council and a selection of European higher education institutions.

EPITA was presented by the Director of the Master’s programs Rabih Haddad and its partners in Katmandu. Students had the chance to ask questions about studying at EPITA, the courses available, fees and scholarships, student life and visa application processes.

Wednesday 26th October saw over 90 participants from both European and Nepalese higher education institutions take part in a Conference to discuss cooperation between the higher education sectors of the two regions. The conference was opened by H.E. Ms Rensje Teerink, Ambassador, European Union Delegation to Nepal, by H.E. Mr Yves Carmona, Ambassador France to Nepal and by Prof. Dr. Sudha Tripathi, Rector, Tribhuvan University and allowed for good and inspiring discussions on best practices and future developments.

Being the sole French institution during this event, EPITA has participated in the round table “Cooperation between France and Nepal” and Mr. Haddad has given a testimonial on the recruitment of Nepali students in the engineering schools in France and at EPITA specifically.

We are happy to welcome the Nepali students on campus in the near future.
