EPITA welcomes Werner Vogels, Vice President and CTO of Amazon.com, on Tuesday, September 21 for a unique conference on Cloud Computing

800px-Wernervogels_ddp.jpgWhile being on a trip to France, Werner Vogels, Vice President and CTO of Amazon.com, will speak before students of EPITA campus on Tuesday, September 21 to present his vision of Cloud Computing.

Since 2006, Amazon.com is offering businesses a solution of Cloud Computing built on it’s own experience of e-commerce platform capable of handling billions of transactions.

“With an experience of 4 years in Cloud Computing, Amazon Web Services (AWS) benefits from an unmatched expertise that Werner Vogels will share with our students. This conference will complement and enrich their understanding of emerging issues in the sector. After having traded with IT Directors of Cigref last spring, we are delighted that he has chosen EPITA for this first meeting with French students. We also thank Lawrence Letourmy (EPITA 1996), CEO of Ysance, who made this meeting possible,” stated Laurent Trébulle, Director of Career Services for EPITA.

This conference will be held in EPITA, Graduate School of Computer Science, on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 15h to 17h and is open to the public on a first-come first-served basis.
