Parc Astérix

Parc Astérix is a theme amusement park, based on the stories of the famous French “Asterix” comic. Situated approximately 35 km (22 mi) north of Paris and 32 km (20 mi) from Disneyland Resort Paris, in “Plailly” in the region of Oise, it opened in 1989.
It is especially well known for its large variety of roller coasters, and has begun incorporating rides and themes from historical cultures such as the Romans and the ancient Greeks.

Futuroscope

Futuroscope is a French theme park based on multimedia, cinematographic futuroscope and audio-visual techniques. It has several 3D cinemas and a few 4D cinemas along with other attractions and shows, some of which are the only examples in the world.
It is located in the region of Vienne, 10 kilometres north of Poitiers, on the territory of the communes of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou and Jaunay-Clan. The park had 1.826 million visitors in 2010. In total, 40 million visitors have been to the park since it opened in 1987.

Nigloland

Nigloland is an amusement park located in Dolancourt, in the region of Aube. For years, Nigloland has been quoted as one of the best theme park of France. With more than 500,000 visitors per season, that makes it the 3rd most famous park of France, just behind Disneyland and the Parc Astérix.

Nature Park & Zoos

Paris-Cineaqua’s aquarium

Paris-Cineaqua’s aquarium is an aquarium located under the hill of Chaillot between the Trocadero and the Seine River in the 16th district. The tour covers 3,500 m2 underground. It hosts around 500 species of fish and invertebrates and has about 9,000 specimens (except plants). The Polynesian area includes 600 coral. The Great Tank contains 30 sharks of four different species in three million liters of water. Therefore, it is the largest artificial basin in France. In total, four million liters of water are divided into 43 ponds and large aquariums, of which 500,000 liters of the “Aquastudio” makes an attraction with his glass of 34 cm thick and weighing 24 tons.

The Amnéville Zoo

The Amnéville Zoo is a private zoo located between Metz and Thionville in Lorraine. 2,000 animals of 350 species of the 5 continents are grouped on 16 acres. The zoo is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums and other recognized organizations.

The Safari of Peaugres

4 continents on 80 hectares: a journey of wild life. This is the largest animal park in the Rhone Alps! By foot, bus or car, the park offers all modes of escape. You travel from Madagascar to the poles; you experience the most unusual species and caress our most familiar friends, such as farm animals. Africa, North America and Asian countries meet in Peaugres Safari.

The Thoiry’s animal park

The Thoiry’s animal park is a zoo located in the Thoiry’s Castle (Region of Yvelines).
It covers 150 hectares (among the 380 hectare of the domain) has 46 mammal species (550 animals), 26 bird species (132 individuals), 9 reptile species (33 individuals) and 10 invertebrates species.
It includes a more traditional zoo and a botanical park of 126 hectares including several gardens: gardens fall, perfumes, English, maze, rose garden, etc.

Parc des Félins

Parc des Félins is a zoological park in France dedicated to the breeding and conservation of wild members of the Cat family. It is located in the commune of Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux in Seine-et-Marne, about 53.6 km (33.3 mi) southeast of Paris. The park covers an area of 60 hectares (150 acres). Of the 41 recognized species of felines in the world, the park has 30 different species and subspecies, with a total of 140 cats.
The park opened to the public on October 14, 2006. Originally, the majority of the animals came from the Parc d'Aulneau, which was deemed too small to house this many animals.

Vélib'

Vélib’ is the biggest bike-sharing in the world run by the Paris Town Hall since 2007. With over 20,000 bikes covering the city, available 24/7 all year long in 1,800 bike stations located every 300 meters, Vélib’ offers you an alternative way to move around Paris.
You can visit the entire city by bike, from the Eiffel Tower to the Champs Elysées, the Louvre museum and even the Sacré Coeur of Montmartre.

The Paris Marathon

The Paris Marathon is a unique opportunity to discover the city while participating in one of the most exciting races over the mythical distance of 26 miles, 385 yards.
The Paris Marathon is today one of the five biggest in the world (along with New-York, London, Berlin and Chicago), not only in terms of the field present, but also by the performances accomplished, the services and logistics put in place and the media coverage.
More than one hundred nations and 40,000 participants will be competing over the 26 miles and 385 yards of the most mythical event that athletics has to offer.
On the second weekend of April, this journey through Paris, from the Champs-Elysées to avenue Foch via the Bois de Vincennes and Bois de Boulogne woods, boasts an unrivalled backdrop dotted with a wealth of popular events.

Students clubs

EPIWORLD

EPIWORLD is the school's international club. This club aims to promote exchanges between French students and international students studying in France. Regular meetings are organized such as cultural excursions (visits to museums), festive outings (Parc Asterix, picnics, tasting of typical culinary products ...). An event of greater magnitude occurs towards the end of the year, when students have the opportunity to discover a region of France (Deauville in 2011) during a weekend.

The main objective of this association is to enable students to practice the sport of their choice alongside their studies, as well as to help those with sports projects. EPISPORT is affiliated with the FFSU in order to register teams for intercollegiate competitions and issue a membership & insurance to members.
The association also offers many team sports (Volley Ball, Rugby, Soccer, Basketball etc.) and individual sports (Thai Boxing, Vietnamese Kung Fu, Tennis) as well as Hip Hop. All these sports are supervised by volunteer students, with significant experience in the field.

EPITANIME

EPITANIME is the student association with an aim of promoting Asian culture, particularly the Japanese culture. This is one of the oldest and largest associations of EPITA, with over 200 members. Many students regularly participate in activities of the association, as spectators as well as organizers.
The association's activities are centered on manga comics and anime (animated projection, karaoke, video games, game of Go, Shogi, Mah Jong and Japanese culture in general). It is also a meeting point for many people interested in Japanese culture, from language to food, to activities in vogue in Japan: Martial Arts, Dance, Revolution Dance, Cosplay, Amateur films.
The EPITANIME convention is one of the oldest conventions on Japanimation in France and in Europe. During its eighteenth edition in 2010, it attracted over 7,500 visitors. It is a very active association that organizes monthly (the EPITANIME night) and weekly events (projection of anime, karaoke session, introduction to the game of Go).

Villejuif Nights (VJN)

Villejuif Nights (VJN) aims to organize parties together for many fun activities: concerts (Soul of Sound), pancakes, barbecues, game tournaments, Guitar Hero, DDR, Oldies, Role playing games (Den), Poker, Karaoke, Airsoft (Cast), Lan (Cycom) ... The association's activity is marked by many events including parties organized in the premises of Villejuif 4-5 times per year, from Friday evening until Saturday morning. The role of this association is to revitalize the site of Villejuif, and allow students of all years to enjoy and have fun.

AEDD

AEDD aims to promote sustainable development within EPITA, and also within the entire campus. Its goals are to make schools cleaner and environmental friendly, consuming less energy, and reducing the amount of waste produced. Throughout the year, AEDD organizes various campaigns (waste sorting, importance of turning off the lights, awareness of sustainability issues etc.) and activities (recycling cans, recycling of batteries). Other projects are underway to reduce energy consumption of the school in a more radical way (automation of lighting, ability to shut down the machines).

CRISTAL

CRISTAL (made up of volunteer students), is the business association of EPITA. It aims to complete the training of students by making them earn professional experience. The association has been serving and listening to its customers for 20 years. CRISTAL provides quality services, tailored to the needs of its customers in all areas related to IT consulting, design and production. The operation of CRISTAL is similar to that of an ITES company (Information Technology Enabled Services). The role of the association is to actively link the client (the company) to the service provider (the student).
